An unusual colour toning arrangement. It suggests that the coin may have been mishandled at some point and subsequently wiped clean. Alternatively, it’s been stored in a manner that exposed the lower reverse face. Either way, it’s a beautiful coin. I suspect from the excellent strike that proof dies made this coin.
