The wide ribbon is the 3rd obverse from 1875 and features in the small mintage of 1877 to about 40% of total production. The 4th obverse with narrow ribbon makes up the other 60%.

PCGS illustrates the relative scarcity of 1877 wide ribbon at EF and above, with the majority graded VF 30/35 (01/25).
