Australia 1916 Penny PCGS MS63RB

The 1916 Penny was made in Calcutta from phosphor bronze, a colour that doesn’t conform to US grading designations of red, red brown or brown. This particular example was also referenced in multiple articles on colour; see here and here.

It’s one of the best examples of original colour for the date; unfortunately PCGS have tried to photograph it like it was an American copper piece. It’s not orange as suggested in the PCGS link below.
