Australia 1916I Penny PCGS MS65BN

Without a doubt the prettiest 1916 Calcutta penny visible on PCGS’s value view page for all the colours. Mint red coins are boring in my opinion. The capacity for bronze to take on nuanced and complex toning is what makes this particular example both spectacular and rare.

For more information on bronze toning; see previous research published here and here.
