Australia 1916S Half Sovereign PCGS MS65
One of the easier dates to add to one’s collection. There are eleven coins available to collectors in MS65, with only eight examples finer.
The large volume of minted coins (448,000 according to Renniks), follows Sydney Mint’s record output of 892,000 in 1915, no doubt due to the war unfolding. This was a time when war debts were paid in gold.
