Australia 1934-35 Florin PCGS MS64

  • Briggs 3C type
  • Scarcer business strike – 10-15% of total mintage

Dr David Briggs has gone to some lengths to identify the various dies used for this famous florin. This type is one of the scarcer ones. It sports the reverse striation markings of the 2C – a scarce variety of only 1-2% of total production. However it’s not as scarce as the type 2C. An example of that variety – which sold for $1650 – can be seen here: https://topendcoins.com.au/product/australia-1934-35-florin-pcgs-ms65/
