Australia 1935 Great Britain Crown – PCGS SP62

  • S-4049
  • 0.500 Silver

Arguably one of the most beautiful coins produced in Art Deco – the celebrated “Rocking Horse” Crown. It was snubbed by the public at the time, but then again my personal observation is that this art was more prevalent on the mainland. Mussolini’s Milano Train Station is a masterpiece of late Art Deco. It’s a beautiful coin and one to keep for the long term.

The coin is of course, brilliant silver – the photographer must compensate by severely under-exposing the image.
