The Gold Sovereign 2024 Edition
By far the most complete guide to Royal Mint sovereigns and half sovereigns ever produced. The Royal Mint branch mints are all included. With thanks to Australian collectors and dealers, TEC was able to forward SEVEN new half sovereign varieties for this edition.
The 2024 edition is also sporting details of the special publication by David Iverson, which was also edited by Steve Hill. Australian gold sovereign and half sovereign collectors need only one reference – this one.
From the publisher:
The first revised edition of the Token Publishing Ltd imprint of Michael Marsh’s The Gold Sovereign was published in 2017 to coincide with the 200th anniversary year of the famous coin. Since then this book, fully revised and updated by Steve Hill of Sovereign Rarities (formerly of Spink and Baldwins) has become the reference work on the sovereign, half sovereign and quarter sovereign. The second edition, now entitled The Gold Sovereign Series was published in 2021, and was once again updated by Steve with all new sovereigns and fractionals added, Also, for the very first time, the five sovereign and two sovereign coins were included too.
Both the first and second editions completely sold out. Now the third edition is ready and in stock, and, for the first time, we have gone all the way back to where it began and include the sovereigns of Henry VII, the half sovereigns of Henry VIII, and on up to the reign of James I. So now not only are all the post-1816 sovereigns, half sovereigns, quarter sovereigns, fives and double sovereigns all included in the book but so too are the hammered coins, making this the absolute go-to reference work, the standard catalogue for this most fascinating of coin series.
