David Gee Forgeries Catalogue

Intro

This post is an effort to catalogue the David Gee Forgeries known to collectors. Coins that are suspected or mentioned in literature or commentary as having been copied (or potentially copied, like the 1930 penny dies) will be listed as suspect or potential uknown. A sub-section of the TEC library of essential reading is devoted to David Gee.

This is a post that will take months – if not years – to complete. For this reason I am asking like minded collectors interested in David Gee to assist. Have you located a coin advertised as a David Gee special? If so, please post in comments or email [email protected], so it can be added to the list
